FIELD: pulp-and-paper industry. SUBSTANCE: gases with sulfur smell formed in the sulfate cellulose treatment process are introduced into soda-regeneration boiler in at least such an amount that a part of chlorine released in gas state accumulates in the form of hydrogen chloride in the top part of soda-regeneration boiler. Hydrogen chloride is separated from flue gas by washing it out. Hydrogen chloride reacts with washing solution and is removed from scrubber together with part of washing solution. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and reduced cost of process. 10 cl, 2 dwg
