PLANT FOR CLEANING LIQUEFIED HYDROCARBON GASES FROM METHANOL Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: plants for cleaning gases from methanol. SUBSTANCE: plant includes unit of preliminary cleaning of gases from methanol which contains extraction device with branches for delivery of raw material and water; this device is connected with divider fitted with branch pipes for escape of water-and-methanol mixture and liquefied gases. Plant is also provided with adsorbers, heat exchangers, separators and furnace interconnected by means of pipe lines and equipped with shut-off and regulating fittings. Plant includes also methanol regeneration unit containing mass-transfer apparatus, gas phase inlet branch pipe which is connected with adsorber regeneration gas outlet; water-and-methanol mixture inlet branch pipe is connected with separator outlet branch pipe through heat exchanger. Gas phase outlet branch pipe of mass- transfer apparatus is connected with separator through heat exchanger and liquid phase outlet branch pipe is connected with liquid phase inlet branch pipe of intermediate reservoir through heat exchanger. Besides that, plant is provided with filtering devices mounted in adsorber regeneration gas discharge lines, cooling gas lines and cleaned liquefied hydrocarbon gas lines.
