AGROBRIDGE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: agrobridge is designed to cover bands of ground or rows with plants with synthetic film. It includes multisupport frame 1, platforms 2, power-driven cars 3, main car 4 with power and auxiliary equipment, hard road 5 with guide rail 6 secured on it. Film rolls 9 are installed on every platform 2. Rolls are attached to horizontal shafts 10 oriented along agrobridge frame 1. Provision is also made for plates which smooth out film being wound in rolls 9 and clean film from particles stuck to it. Two rotating brushes with driving motors-reduction gears are positioned on both sides of film being wound in roll 9 for cleaning the film from stuck dust and small foreign particles. Agrobridge is provided with friction-braking device designed to control degree of film tension when film is unwound and wound back in roll 9. It also has facility for securing film edges on sides of rows being covered. This facility consists of furrow-forming and furrow-covering plowshares between which rollers placing the film edges in furrows are positioned. Agrobridge also includes rolling plowshare with rippers. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 12 dwg
