FIELD: electric resistance welding of reinforcing metallic gauzes. SUBSTANCE: machine includes frame and stationary electrodes. Crossbar with shunting electrodes is mounted in frame with possibility of cross motion and it has drive unit for vertical motion of shunting electrodes arranged on carriage that may move in lengthwise direction relative to crossbar. Drive unit for vertically moving shunting electrodes is in the form of multiple-link articulation-joint linkage secured to frame. One terminal link of linkage is joined by its one end with shaft of electric motor, its another terminal link - with crossbar. Linkage has one elastic link, its all other links may engage with eccentric mechanism. Crossbar is mounted with possibility of vertical reciprocation motion corresponding to working stroke of shunting electrodes secured to it.
