FIELD: stepped transformers with two mobile contacts. SUBSTANCE: first mobile contact is connected to at least one vacuum switch, which is designed for turning load current on. Second mobile contact is connected to switch which is designed for turning transient current on. Both mobile contacts are driven independently so that one is driven in low speed and another one in steps. Sequence of their movement movements is independent from direction of commutation.
