FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves soaking potato seeds in solution of biostimulant tris-2-fumarate hydroxyethylammonium (concentration may be varied within the range of 0.01-0.1%). It allows germination rate to be increased by 50%. Halm growth and backflow of nutrients into potato tubers are inhibited by spraying plants with fumaric acid solution having concentration of 0.01% on 14th and 30th day upon transplanting. It allows halm growth to be inhibited, halm weight to be reduced, potato weight and number of potato tubers in cell to be increased by 1.5-2 times. Preparations are practically nontoxic, easily withdrawn from organism and may be used as substances for stimulating live organisms.
