FIELD: corrosion protection. SUBSTANCE: neutralization is carried out in closed vessel to form countercurrent descending and ascending streams involving circulation. Solid neutralizer is fed in portions. Gas is introduced into lower part of ascending stream zone. Mixture, prior to be directed into circulation system, is settled and introduced into descending stream with acceleration. Neutralizer contains closed column with pipe fastened in its center, circulation system with drive, loading port, and gas line. Column is provided with sloping-surface settler and opening for circulation system located in side wall under sloping surface of settler. Central pipe bears conical expansions on its both ends and forms annular gap with settler. Gas line is connected with lower expansion. EFFECT: improved quality of neutralization, reduced consumption of neutralizing reagents, and reduced power consumption. 4 cl, 1 dwg
