FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: preset volume of liquid is changed till required mass is obtained by value of volumetric variation due to thermal volumetric expansion of liquid relative to temperature under normal conditions. Device intended for method realization has volume meter and thermocorrector connected to it and made as cylinder with closed ends. Auxiliary cylinder with temperature transducer is mounted in one of ends. Cylinder is coupled to body which houses disc slide valve. Cylinder accommodates limiter, spring-loaded piston coupled by rocker to crank shaft positioned on volume meter axle. Piston-rest mounted for axial displacement between piston and temperature transducer is also installed inside cylinder. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurements. 2 cl, 1 dwg
