FIELD: aviation; technology of performance of vertical take-off by high-speed flying vehicles. SUBSTANCE: parachute is deployed by line in vertical direction and is secured on deployment device, for example on rocket; second end of parachute line is secured on pulley with drive for pulling parachute into flying vehicle. Other line is used for connection of tail section of flying vehicle with take-off area, after which engine is started and parachute is deployed till it line is taut; after engine has developed thrust sufficient for flight, parachute is drawn at rate sufficient for rising of flying vehicle above take-off area and tail section connecting line is released. Parachute line may be connected with flying vehicle between center of mass and its nose section. EFFECT: extended range of performance of vertical take-off by flying vehicle. 2 cl
