FIELD: power engineering; fossil fuel combustion in furnaces and combustion chambers of thermal power plants. SUBSTANCE: 75 to 85% of total gaseous fuel is pre-mixed with part of secondary air with excess coefficient of 0.75 to 0.85; prior to entering combustion zone, this fuel mixture is sequentially passed through mesh preventing flame ingress to burner and swirlers. This raises efficiency of fuel combustion at α and reduces nitrogen concentration 1.5-2.0 times. EFFECT: increased efficiency of fuel combustion and improved environmental friendliness. 4 cl, 2 dwg
