SUBSTANCE: device has bath 1 for intake and melting of snow mass; heating device made in the form of dipped burners 5, pump 13 for evacuating water from bath and discharging it through nozzles 18 for snow mass watering, device for water outlet from bath 1. Bath 1 has compartment 2 for dipped burners 5, and compartment 3 for holding snow mass. Method involves heating water in compartment 2 from 10 to 80 C and conveying it to compartment 3 for snow mass watering. Water may be also taken from compartment 2 and delivered to heat supply system. Water from compartment 3 is delivered to sewerage system and/or to sewage works.
