TRANSVERSE-STREAM ROTATIONAL DUST COLLECTOR Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: dry cleaning of air and gases from dust particles, specifically, cleaning of spent air in aspiration systems of grain-cleaning machines, aggregates and complexes for processing of grain after harvest. SUBSTANCE: proposed dust collector includes rotating rotor made in the form of impeller of transverse-stream fan, housing, inlet and outlet branch pipes, dust collector. Axial lines of inlet and outlet branch pipes are arranged perpendicular to rotation axis of rotor and width of branch pipes and dust collector equals that of housing. Usage of transverse-stream fan creates uniform air current over entire width of dust collector, diminishes resistance of its flow part, decreases energy consumption and enhances efficiency of dust collection. Impeller may be manufactured both hollow and with shaft inside, with straight or bent blades. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of dust collection. 2 cl, 2 dwg
