FIELD: heat and sound insulation in ship building, machine building and aviation. SUBSTANCE: novolac phenol-formaldehyde resin based composition comprises foaming agent such as blowing agent, organosilicon foam regulator, hexamethylene tetramine, mineral titanium dioxide filler and tetrazole or derivatives thereof. Addition of the latter to the claimed composition makes it possible to improve physical and mechanical properties of plastic foams based on said composition and to reduce toxicity during combustion.
