FIELD: hydrometallurgy of noble metals, specifically coal- sorption technology of recovery of gold from cyanic solutions or pulps carrying copper. SUBSTANCE: process involves sorption of gold by active coal, desorptiion of gold out of saturated coal and electrolysis of eluates. Sorption is conducted with concentration of sodium cyanide not less than 0.5 g/l. EFFECT: decreased losses of gold during desorption and increased quality of cathode fallout. 1 cl, 2 tbl
