FIELD: extraction of gold and silver. SUBSTANCE: when extracting gold and silver from the activated carbon, the latter is treated with an alkaline cyanide solution and then, to achieve the desorption of gold and silver, with 1-5 volumes of the hot distilled water circulating through the carbon in the form of vapor and condensate at the velocity of 1 to 2 volumes of water per 1 volume of carbon in 1 h. EFFECT: increased concentration of gold in the eluates.
