FIELD: conversion of rotation energy into hydraulic energy and vice versa. SUBSTANCE: housing 10 for hydraulic device, for example for duplex pump has many rotor groups set in motion in one direction around common axis 100 by means of source of rotation energy. It has pair of opposite end walls 18 and 20, continuous side wall 22 connecting end walls 18 and 20 and at least two holes 36 and 38 in side wall 22 for mounting the rotor groups in housing 10. Housing 10 has first flange 24 on end wall 18 for securing housing 10 to rotation energy source. Second flange 26 is located on other end wall 20 and is used for securing auxiliary pump 104 to main hydraulic device. According to alternative version, if flanges 26 and 24 have similar sizes, housing 10 makes it possible to reverse sense of rotation of duplex pump by securing to other end of housing 10 with no change in inner components.
