FIELD: medicine, virology. SUBSTANCE: method involves a calculation of coefficient of "latent" antibodies raised to HIV. Patient blood serum is separated for two fractions by ion-exchange chromatography on OEA-50-Sephadex. Then optical density of the whole serum and two fractions is determined and a coefficient of "latent" antibodies is measured by total ratio of optical density value of the first and the second fractions to optical density value of the whole blood serum. Severe course of HIV-infection is prognosed at coefficient value of "latent" antibodies 1.92. EFFECT: improved method of diagnosis. 1 tbl, 2 ex
