FIELD: manufacture of flying vehicles; mechanical engineering; manufacture of solid units in other industries. SUBSTANCE: method consists in assembly of sections of unit in various fixtures, and connection of skin panels with upper and lower sections of frames. General assembly of unit is effected through coupling the upper and lower sections of frames over line of connection by means of docking probes secured in pairs in base locating holes of rims of lower and upper sections of frames. Then cover plates are placed over line of joint of frame sections and standard fastenings are fitted. EFFECT: reduction of assembly cycle due to avoidance of preliminary assembly/disassembly of frames. 5 dwg
