FIELD: control of motion of space vehicles by means of jet engines, mainly electrical jet engines mounted on geostationary satellites. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, control thrust moments of jet engines are applied at three axes of body base line. Jet engines are arranged in four sections having equal thrust: two sections are mounted in parallel with datum plane (NORTH-EAST) at equal distance providing for summing-up of projections of these moments on axis of required control moment and compensation in remaining axes. Correction of orbit of space vehicle in two directions (body axes, for example NORTH-SOUTH and WEST-EAST) is effected by jet engine thrust whose projections coincide with given directions (axes); disturbing moments in these axes are compensated. To create moment in third axis which is opposite to disturbing moment, use is made of jet engine with mutual compensation of their moment and thrust in two above-mentioned axes. Excess of rate of correction is eliminated by means of correction rate excess unit introduced in proposed system by one of correction axes at compensation of jet engine thrust to another correction axis. EFFECT: reduced number of jet engines and reduced consumption of propellant; avoidance of effect of jet-engine plume on on-board equipment of space vehicle. 4 cl, 1 tbl
