FIELD: lubricating materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal-plating compositions useful as additives to motor, transmission, and industrial oils for reducing and eliminating wear of metal friction surfaces, more particularly for sealed friction pairs, for example, parts of gasoline engines, gear- boxes, and others. Composition contains, wt %: copper-containing powder, 2.0-80.0; monobasic fatty C12-C22-acid or its copper or zinc salt, 0.01-5.0; organic solvent, 5.0-40.0; and organic oil, the balance. Copper-based alloy powder with particle size 0.01-10 mcm is prepared by evaporation and subsequent condensation of material in inert gas atmosphere. Alloy contains up to 0.5% silver, and/or up to 20% tin, and/or up to 40% lead, and/or up to 20% antimony, and/or up to 20% nickel, and/or up to 10% zinc, content of copper being at least 50%. With regard to its phase composition, powder constitutes solid solution of the 2nd, 3rd, or nth component in copper. EFFECT: improved quality of metal-plating concentrate, increased compression in engine, and reduced oil and metal-plating additive consumption. 3 cl, 2 tbl
