FIELD: textile industry, in particular, production of yarn from cellulose-containing filaments or mixtures of such filaments with synthetic filaments. SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing basic filaments to nonuniform magnetic field prior to and after wetting. First stage is performed prior to filament wetting for 6-11 s and second stage is carried out 9-11 s upon wetting for 7-9 s. Magnetic field intensity is increased from 0 to 350 kA/m and intensity variation per unit of length is kept at the level of 17,500 kA/m. EFFECT: increased efficiency, improved spinning properties of filament across the whole section. 3 cl, 1 tbl
