FLANGED PROFILE FOR RELATIVE ATTACHMENT OF AIR PASSAGE SECTIONS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2124670 C1

FIELD: relative flanged connection of air duct sections made from sheet metal, mainly of rectangular section. SUBSTANCE: proposed construction provides for reliable mounting of flanged profile on section of air passage, thus ensuring strong airtight joint of flanged profile with air passage section, as well as reliable interconnection of sections. Sealing effect of sealing mass is continuous elastic action satisfying the technological requirements for fitting the profile in manufacture and mounting. Specific feature of flanged profile consists in applying elastic coat to top of bulge-fold; this coat flexible adjoins inner side of opposite shelf without clearance. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 8 cl, 2 dwg
