FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a sealing technique when connecting air ducts to various units or to each other, when air-jet engines of aircrafts are coupled with air intake devices. Sealing metal ring is made of spring sheet metal and has a U-shaped profile in cross section, with one non-inclined profile wall throughout the ring being made solid, and the other inclined wall of the profile along the entire ring has notches along the cross section forming petals on the ring. Number of petals of the ring is selected from the condition of providing a stress level in the ring when assembled below the stress level of relaxation to maintain the elastic properties of the ring when the sealing device operates.
EFFECT: invention increases the reliability of the device.
