FIELD: electrical and electromechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: shaft seal has fixed member 1 mounted on shaft 3 and movable member 2 held tight against fixed by means of spring 7 and locked in position by pin 8. Disk 10 placed inside machine is mounted on spherical pin 11 and held tight by spring 12 at angle smaller than 90 deg. to horizontal axis. Disk provides for additional boosting of liquid to prevent dry friction during machine starting. Upon its stopping, disk 10 prevents escape of liquid from friction zone. EFFECT: improved reliability of shaft seal. 1 dwg
