CORRECTOR-EXERCISER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: medical and sportive equipment, in particular, equipment for performing correcting, stimulating, massaging and exercising action upon predetermined group of user's muscles. SUBSTANCE: corrector-exerciser has elongate rigid rods of length comparable with patient body regions. Rods are made curved to follow curvatures and, when required, embrace patient's body portions. Rods are interconnected by spring-loaded pivot joints of adjustable resiliency, which counteract force exerted by predetermined group of muscles. Corrector-exerciser is provided with equally spaced cells for receiving detachable finger-shaped members, body embracing members for retaining corrector-exerciser on patient's body, and members for providing electromechanical stimulation by point electrodes inserted into these members. Point electrodes are brought into contact with electric contacts of cells connected with commutator and power source. Point electrodes are made from bimetallic material, for instance, from welded ends of zinc and copper halves separated by dielectric. Members adapted for magnetomechanical stimulation of patient's body are made from magnetic material. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities and simplified construction. 15 dwg
