FIELD: processing of oxidized nickel raw materials. SUBSTANCE: method includes ore supply in counterflow with high-temperature effluent gas, smelting in bubbling zone of two-zone furnace on hot bath preliminary poured to underlance region of furnace bubbling zone, with supply of carbon-contacting fuel and oxygen-containing blast. It is effected through lances located from furnace hearth at a distance equalling 11.0-12.0 diameter of lance. Smelting is carried out up to attaining the nickel content in bottom phase of not more than 35%, and produced slag is subjected to plasma treatment at temperature of not less than 1450 C with supply of carbon-containing reducer in the amount of 0.07-0.08 weight of initial ore. EFFECT: integrated high-economical efficient processing of oxidized nickel ores; high results of recovery of valuable components; producing during the process naturally alloyed iron and slag directed for manufacture of building materials. 2 tbl
