FIELD: electroplating, mechanical engineering, instrumentation engineering and other fields of engineering. SUBSTANCE: process is effected in electrolyte based on chromic anhydride, strontium sulfate, strontium compounds (oxide, hydroxide, carbonate and chromate) introduced for reducing of strontium sulfate and artificial technical cryolite at 70-120 g/l of CrO3. Concentration of compound introduced for reducing of solubility of strontium sulfate is determined from weight ratio of Sr2+•CrO3=250=270 with subsequent conversion for the compound formula.
