FIELD: oil production industry. SUBSTANCE: water-in-oil emulsions are used for regulating injectivity profile of injection wells and/or for isolation of water inflow to oil wells. Composition of water-in-oil emulsions used in oil recovery is as follows: water, oil phase that is liquid petroleum hydrocarbons of paraffin line in mixture with reagent that is solvent for asphalt-resin and porphyritic components of oil. Proportion of components is determined by density of emulsion which is equal to density of water used for producing water-in-oil emulsions. Also included in composition is emulsifying agent. Ratio of components is as follows, mas.%: heavy crude asphalt-resin oil with high, at least 100 mcg/g content of metal-porphyritic complexes, 25-85; solvent - aromatic hydrocarbon-toluene, xylene, 15-75. Method of producing water-in-oil emulsions implies adding of aforesaid emulsifying agent to aforesaid oil phase and dispersing of water in thus obtained oil. According to composition and method, content of emulsifying agent is equal to 5-25 mas.%. Application of composition and method enhances stability of water-in-oil emulsions. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 2 tbl, 1 ex
