FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: magnetic separator incorporates drum which carries multiplicity of rings spaced from each other. All rings are combined in set. Created around each ring is passage which is open for outside. Installed on separator frame are sets of magnets: upper set and lower set. Sets of magnets enter open passages. Located in intervals between rings are matrix modules. Primary upper nozzles are spraying water to matrix modules which pass between upper magnets. Secondary upper nozzles are spraying water to matrix modules when they are remote from upper magnets. Rings can be made from glass fibre and polymer and they can be fixed with displacement relative to each other by means of bolts and spacers. Used in function of matrix is normally sheet of material folded as bellows. Aforesaid embodiment of magnetic separator allows for its improvement as to economy, simplicity of design and performance characteristics. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 24 cl, 13 dwg
