FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to kinetic energy storage devices, and can mainly be used in power supply systems as a backup and emergency power source. The kinetic energy storage device contains an evacuated cylindrical body the cylinder of which is made of a non-magnetic dielectric material. The stator is located outside of the housing. The hollow rotor, formed by a cylinder of non-magnetic dielectric material, with at least two discs covering its inner cavity, is vertically mounted in the housing on the shaft by means of upper and lower supports for rotation. The drive is equipped with permanent plate magnets mounted on the rotor cylinder along the circumference with alternating radially arranged poles. Each rotor disk is made in the form of at least two concentric load rings, between which a ring made of elastic material is installed, and the upper and lower supports are made in the form of radial-contact rolling bearings.
EFFECT: reducing the imbalance of the rotor directly in the process of its rotation, in providing more intensive heat dissipation by the stator and in expanding the arsenal of technical means for energy storage.
