FIELD: production of compensation tubes, mainly in ship building. SUBSTANCE: method of making compensation tubes with any number of bent portions comprises steps of assigning number of bendings of compensation tube and their location according to free space in zone of their arrangement, measuring linear and angular dimensions characterizing mutual position of flanges of main pipelines and their openings for bolts and detecting coordinates of end points of each bending except first and last ones, transmitting data to computer, determining geometry parameters of compensation tube on base of received data, cutting, bending and assembling tube with flanges. Device for carrying out measurements and storing received data is provided with electronic unit for storing data and with angle measuring head. Intermediate angle measuring head and each terminal angle measuring has body in the form of single-axis Cardan suspension and three-axis Cardan joint respectively and electrical pickups of angular motion whose trunnions are mounted in supports of body forks. Angular motion pickups are connected by cable with electronic unit having output connected with computer. Angle meters and tie rods are mutually fixed by means of detachable telescopic joint in the form of pin and clamp secured to end portions of angle meters and tie rods respectively. Clamp has eccentric stopper, pin has seat for stopper. Apparatus for assembling tubes with flanges on a base of analytical data includes attachments for clamping tube due to fixing it along outer surface at both ends. Attachments include frame-like forks; one fork is joined by means of its support with trunnion of positioner axle, another fork is joined with eye of shaft of Cardan suspension. In each frame-like fork inner frames are mounted on axles; inner frames serve as guides for linear motion of clamping prisms by means of drive unit. Clamping prisms may rotate together with inner frame around axles when basic members and frame-like forks are in rest.
