FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: driving mechanism of three-position switch includes main shaft supporting or setting electric contacts in action and capable of selective movement in three stable positions and central crank mounted for rotation and so setting main shaft in action that it occupies three positions. Mechanism additionally includes system transforming movements and creating kinematic relation between angular movements of central crank and main shaft that grows when central crank moves from open position to closed one which leads to continuous growth of effort transmitted to electric contacts that increases as central crank moves from open position to closed one. Proposed driving mechanism makes it possible to execute high- speed action with simultaneous release of energy for operations of closing, breaking and contact to ground.
