FIELD: agricultural machine equipment. SUBSTANCE: cutting apparatus includes beam to which lower guides and upper clamps are secured. Lower guides and upper clamps have similar construction; they are mounted along beam and mutually spaced by predetermined pitch. Supporting surfaces of lower guides are shifted upwards relative to horizontal axis of beam by the same value as supporting surfaces of upper clamps are shifted downwards relative to said axis of beam. Lower guides and upper clamps form wavy abut surface of cutting knives along axis of beam. It provides clearance-free springy reliable clamping of knives and cutting off plant stems at minimized cut-off effort. EFFECT: improved design. 4 dwg
