FIELD: control of flight vehicles, in particular, small-sized guided missiles. SUBSTANCE: method of check-up consists in the fact that the air-dynamic autopilot unit with the controls folded inside its casing and closed with sealing flaps and air intakes are fastened to the bedplate. After fastening ignition voltage is applied to the electric fuse of the mechanism of depressurization and deployment of controls and extension of the air intakes. The ignition voltage and the signals from the outputs of the controls movement feedback transducers are monitored on a mirror-galvanometer oscillograph. The time of unit depressurization, deployment of controls and extension of the air intakes from the moment of application of ignition voltage up to the beginning of turning of control surfaces from the control- surface position to the stop is checked a fastening of the unit to the bedplate a guide is installed opposite the slot for extension of one of the control surfaces of each control channel at an angle to the slot longitudinal axis equal to the maximum angle of turn of the control surfaces. The angular position of the point of intersection of the guide working surface with the line of longitudinal movement of the control-surface plane at deployment is adjusted to be equal to 5/6 of the control-surface angle in the longitudinal plane from the initial position in the folded condition to the full deployment and fixing.
