FIELD: guided artillery projectiles and missiles.
SUBSTANCE: the autopilot unit in the off-state with the controls folded inside its body is preliminarily installed on an installing table covered with electroconducting rubber. The controls are closed with sealing shields. A protective clamp is fitted on the unit outer surface, and in-process handling cross-pieces are installed. Then, the cross-pieces of the ignition circuits are removed, the resistance of the autopilot unit circuits and the insulation resistance of the electrically insulated circuits of the autopilot unit are measured for compliance with the required ones, and the unit leak-proofness is checked. To this end, the unit is installed in an in-process handling fixture providing leak-proofness of the fixture covers on the side of the unit end surfaces, the clamp is shifted to the out-of-shields position, the unit is connected through the in-process handling hole in its body with the aid of a flexible tube to the compressed air source with a pressure gauge and a release safety valve installed in it, air is injected in the unit body up to the positive pressure, the unit is immersed in a reservoir with water having a temperature of normal climatic conditions for a time of not less than the preset holding time, and air is injected in the unit body to the positive pressure. Visual indication of air leakage from the unit body is performed during the preset holding time by air bubbles and by a change of the pressure, the pressure is smoothly decreased to a value determined by the safety engineering, the unit is extracted from the reservoir, moisture is removed, the pressure is zeroed, and the unit is disconnected from the compressed is source, then a stopper is installed on the in-process handling fixture in the unit body, the clamp is shifted to the middle position of the shields in height, the fixture covers are removed, and the unit is installed on the table. The cross-pieces of the ignition circuits are removed, the resistance of the electric circuits and the insulation resistance of the unit insulated circuits are measured, the cross-pieces of the ignition circuits are installed, and a decision on fitness of the autopilot unit as far as the leak-proofness is concerned is taken by the results of the check of absence of air bubbles, absence of pressure drop and stability of the results of resistance measurement. The device has the respective components for realization of the method.
EFFECT: enhanced self-descriptiveness and truth of the check.
