LUMBERING MACHINE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: forestry. SUBSTANCE: lumbering machine has pusher or bulldozer moldboard mounted on frame of self-propelled chassis in front of operator's cabin. Pusher or bulldozer moldboard has gripping levers fixed on it and adapted for raking branches and clearing cuttings. Load-bearing platform is formed as body rotating in vertical-longitudinal plane of machine. Tree branch pruner-puller and tree crosscutting mechanism are positioned within base mounted laterally of operator's cabin. Tree branch pruner-puller has two four-link members arranged in parallel one with respect to another and interconnected by pins carrying pulling rollers, which are rotated through chain transmissions from self-propelled chassis winch drive. Front parts of upper links of four-link members are provided with semicircular cutter and rear parts are connected through hydraulic cylinder, which serves as drive. Machine is designed as multipurpose combine allowing operator to perform all operations, from stump to top and lop works. Machine operates without readjustments in filling-packaging and lumbering modes of operation.
