FIELD: automatic traffic control equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves exchange of information between mobile carrier and control station by means of combined communication channel using radio and infrared waves. Request from control station to mobile carrier is transmitted by radio signal, while response from mobile carrier to control station (code combination) is transmitted by infrared waves. Corresponding device is compatible to widely used control equipment with inductance channel (frame antennas). Infrared waves used for transmission of code combination signal provide increased stability to noise, sufficient range and required locality of connection. Goal of invention is achieved by use of infrared signal for emission and reception of code combination. Control station has transmitter of high-frequency request radio signal, receiver of infrared code combination signal, and matching circuit. Mobile carrier has receiver of high-frequency request radio signal, encoder and transmitter of infrared code combination signal. EFFECT: increased stability to noise, sufficient range and locality of communication. 6 cl, 6 dwg
