FIELD: manufacture of important assemblies of heat exchanging equipment, mainly for nuclear power stations. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preliminarily expanding inlet end of tube in openings of tube plate; welding tube end to tube plate in plane of front end wall of tube plate; expanding tubes in range of tube plate thickness, mainly by hydraulic way at one or two transitions; expanding tubes by means of rollers in zone of rear end wall of tube plate in such a way that to embrace by said roller expanded zone of outlet portion of tubes at least the whole transition portion of tubes in end portion of hydraulically expanded zone and arranging part of annular expanded tube out off tube plate. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of tube and tube plate joining, increased service life period of heat exchanger. 6 dwg
