SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the treatment of metals by pressure and can be used to fasten pipes in the tube grids of heat exchangers using mechanical expansion and hydraulic dispensing. Method includes arranging the ends of the pipes in the manifold openings with a recess relative to the inner surface of the manifold, mechanical flaring of the ends of the pipes for welding before the tube and the wall of the hole come together to minimize annular gaps between the pipe ends and the walls of the holes, hydraulic distribution of pipe ends in collector holes in two stages. After each stage of hydraulic distribution, mechanical rolling is performed to eliminate the "pocket" in the zone adjacent to the internal surface of the collector. At the outlet from the collector, mechanical expansion of the tubes is carried out to remove the pocket in the zone adjacent to the internal surface of the collector, taking into account the results of measurements of the actual thickness of the collector wall in the perforation zone.

EFFECT: reliability of the assembly of the heat exchange tubes in the collector of the steam generator is increased.
