FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: high-viscosity petroleum products are isolated and transported in the form of aqueous dispersions in presence of sulfonate dispersing agents. The latter are prepared by (a) increasing molecular weight of steam cracking mazut through its oligomerization in presence of catalyst: boron trifluoride or its complexes with strong acids; (b) sulfuration of substance prepared in step "a" by bringing it into contact with a sulfuration agent, advantageously sulfur trioxide; and (c) neutralizing sulfonate prepared in step "b" treating it with alkali, alkali-earth, or ammonium hydroxides. Aqueous dispersion of high-viscosity petroleum product capable of being pumped over is characterized by containing 60 to 85% of high-viscosity petroleum product, and 0.2 to 2.5% of one or several dispersion agents prepared according to above-described method. EFFECT: improved polymerization degree control. 17 cl, 1 tbl, 7 ex
