FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of petroleum sulphonates, where oil stock used is heavy oil residues with total content of asphaltene-resinous components of not less than 50 wt%, and the sulphonating reagent used is spent sulfuric acid of the alkylation process of olefins with isoalkanes with concentration of 68–75 % H2SO4, sulphonation is carried out at temperature 55–70 °C for 60–120 minutes at weight ratio of heavy oil residues: spent sulfuric acid equal to 1:1.5–2.5, which can be used as a water-soluble reagent for oil industry needs during production of drilling reagents.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of the method and simplified process.
