FIELD: radio wave radiation in bands ranging between super-high-frequency and high-frequency or sometimes extremely- high-frequency bands. SUBSTANCE: combination of primary radiator such as rod antenna and magnetic-dielectric shell of desired shape having magnitude , where μ is relative magnetic permeability and ε is relative dielectric constant, as well as copper disks welded to rod provides for reducing length (height) of primary radiator by at least 1.6 times. At the same time, radiation parameters almost equal to those of commonly used rod antennas are maintained. Results were experimentally obtained at ultra-high frequencies but they may be likewise used for other frequency bands using antenna similitude principle. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 4 cl, 6 dwg
