FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining pasture yield by mowing and weighing grass harvested from sample plots, each of 1 sq m area, with following counting of yield; admitting predetermined number of sheep to definite plots for consumption of grass by them during two hours; determining amount of uneaten grass remained on these pasture plots by mowing and weighing this grass; counting amount of grass eaten by sheep at these plots; separating at least one rectangular or square plot with side size of 5 or 10 m, with sample plots for determining pasture yield being disposed at four sides of mentioned definite plots at distance of 1 m from them. Number of sheep is from 1 to three, with sheep being similar in life weight, sex and age. To determine amount of grass remained uneaten by sheep, five or nine sample plots are used, each of area of 1 sq m. These plots are uniformly disposed on definite pasture.
