FIELD: equipment for cleaning of filter elements. SUBSTANCE: the method of automatic cleaning of filter element consists in cleaning of filter element at least by high-pressure medium. Used as cleaning medium is minimum one concentrated medium, having a higher pressure and/or flow rate than the medium being cleaned. Minimum one other medium differing from the first one in composition and/or state is used separately or jointly with the medium being cleaned. The method is realized by a device, having at least one pipeline for feed of the medium to be cleaned, at least one support for attachment of the filter element. The filter element and/or the pipeline and/or its part/parts is fixed for changing its position. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of cleaning of filter element by elimination of gradual any noticeable clogging of it by constant, or periodic cleaning of the latter without violation of the condition of main cleaning by the given element of some medium (gas or liquid). 79 cl, 1 dwg
