FIELD: erection of spacecraft and creation of artificial gravitation in their compartments. SUBSTANCE: drive is provided with linear electric motor turned inside object over circumference. Rotor of electric motor is provided with permanent magnets; it is attached to case and may rotate the case. Stator has facing in which inducing wire winding is enclosed; it is secured to circular housing of independent balance weight. Weights arranged along axis of balance weight are moved by magnetic field towards side opposite to direction of rotation of rotor. Electromagnetic suspension in circular housing prevents weight from touching the walls of pipe. Drive may be mounted inside cylindrical spacecraft. Drive may be used for rotating the object around its longitudinal axis of symmetry. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 5 cl, 2 dwg
