METHOD FOR LAUNCHING OF OBJECT TO SPACE FROM COSMODROME IN SPACE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2241643 C2

FIELD: space engineering, in particular, means for launching of space vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: the cosmodrome in space consists of rigidly combined cylindrical service casing with an axial longitudinal tunnel. A launching silo with a solenoid electromagnetic motor and a thrust gear are installed on its end face from the outside. The vehicle to be launched is prepared in the tunnel. Then, the vehicle is brought outside from the tunnel and installed on the thrust gear. The vehicle is started and accelerated in the launching silo with the aid of the solenoid electromagnetic motor fed with electric power. At the end of acceleration the own engine of the vehicle is started. Orienting electromagnetic circular tubular devices with magnetosensitive loads inside them are fastened at the ends of the longitudinal and lateral axes of the cosmodrome. With the id of these devices the cosmodrome is turned to the required orientation.

EFFECT: provided multiple launching of space vehicles from a permanent cosmodrome in space, saving of energy and resources for launching of vehicles.
