METHOD OF DRYING ALCOHOL DISTILLATION RESIDUE SUSPENSION AND PLANT FOR ITS EMBODIMENT Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: processing of alcohol production wastes. SUBSTANCE: method provides for anaerobic fermentation by exerting successive effect on distillation residue by a set of ferments and acid-forming bacteria to produce culture liquid possessing high filtering capacity and bactericidal and fungicidal properties. Filtering results in obtaining sediment of protein fodder with moisture content of 25-50% and filtrate containing organic substances within permissible values of biological and chemical consumption of oxygen. Drying is carried out at product temperature not above 90 C to obtain loose product with moisture content of 5-25% and possessing bactericidal properties. The plant for embodiment of the method has successively installed (in compliance with technological process) heat exchanger for heat abstraction from alcohol distillation residue, fermenter or fermenter unit, filter, filtrate collector and drier. The plant also has metering regulator of ferments and bacteria. Located inside drier are hollows for heat supply. Each fermenter has heat-exchanger channels and hydraulic nozzle for circulation of working fluid.
