DECKING FOR DRILLING Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: mining and construction activities. SUBSTANCE: decking can be used for ground surface multiple drilling in permafrost conditions and also for laying temporary roads on loose ground. Decking is made up of separate slabs which are placed in staggered order and are fastened to each other through holes in their brackets. On ground surface, decking operates as integral shell. Occurring longitudinal forces are taken by pins. Lateral forces are taken by brackets. Aforesaid embodiment of decking allows for creation of continuous platform for multiple use in hard-to-reach areas of extreme north with reduced technogenic influence to loose ground in drilling operations and laying of temporary roads.
