FIELD: immunology. SUBSTANCE: content of red and white blood elements (erythrocytes, hemoglobin, leukocytes, stab neutrophils, segmented neutrophils, lymphocytes, eosinophils, monocytes, erythrocyte sedimentation rate) are determined in peripheral blood using routine laboratory studies. To determine each immunologic index, quantitative values of peripheral blood parameters are multiplied by corresponding correlation coefficients and summed. Immunologic characteristics are calculated from formula: Y = where Y is immunologic index to be determined (including lymphocytes, suppressors, immunoglobulins A, M, J, common complement, third fraction of complement, circulating immune complexes); A0 free member; Bi coefficients of regression of peripheral blood parameters; Ci coefficients of regression of squares of peripheral blood parameters; Xi..X8 are peripheral blood parameters.
