FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: covering is intended for stabilization of underwater slopes, banks of rivers and water basins, sides of channels, also for repair of washed-out hollows, for protection of pipelines in crossing water areas. Covering is made up of concrete blocks which are connected to each other in rows and within rows they are interconnected by means of ropes. Blocks are made in the form of dual-side truncated pyramids having rectangular bases. Recesses are made in end-faces of blocks. Area of recess opening must be larger than half of block end-face area. Used in function of ropes are kapron ropes which are embedded in concrete blocks. Distance L between adjacent blocks is determined by following relation: L≤dr•(tgα+1/cosα), where αr - diameter of rope, α - angle of incline of block face. Aforesaid embodiment of protective concrete covering ensures simple manufacture of blocks and entire covering combined with high flexibility and reliable engagement with ground, added by universality of covering due to possibility of creating arches and surfaces of various configuration.
